Bottcher’s triple in 10th end not enough as Russia overtakes Canada at world championships
Canada’s Brendan Bottcher lost an 8-7 decision to Russia’s Sergey Glukhov on Wednesday afternoon at the BKT Tires & OK Tire World Men’s Curling Championship.
Bottcher made a double out to score three runs in the 10th end to force an extra end.
Glukhov used a hammer to make a winning draw for the win.
Canada will face defending champion Niklas Edin of Sweden in the evening.
