Biles made headlines at the 2020 Games when she retired from several individual competitions to focus on her mental health after making a mistake in the team event that cost the US national team gold, who finished second to Russia. Only on the final day did she return to the platform and claim bronze on beam, her seventh Olympic medal of her career (after four golds and one bronze at Rio 2016). Biles will be joined at the US Classic by 2020 Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee, American singles gold medalist.
