The Belgian public prosecutor’s office has announced that MEP Marc Tarabella and parliamentary assistant Francesco Giorgi, both after a few months in prison as part of the investigation into the so-called Qatargatewere conditionally released.

The Belgian prosecutor pointed out that “her preventive detention was no longer justified”, but without specifying the conditions.

At this point for Tarabella and Giorgi, the right hand of the repentant ex-MP Pier Antonio Panzeriand companion of the former Vice-President of the European Parliament Eva KailiThe obligation to wear an electronic bracelet is no longer applicable.
