The Russian satirical news agency Panorama, which specializes in spreading fictional and improbable news, has published the data of an apparently fake investigation conducted by US scientists who, using ChatGPT artificial intelligence, allegedly proved that the Soviet Union is the best country in the world in 5,000 years of human history.

The news made the rounds in the Russian mass media, the communists organized a round table on the quality of life of people in the USSR and demanded a return to the Soviet way of life.

The tabloid Life, one of the most popular in Russia, even appealed: “I want to live in the USSR! Lenin’s country is the best in the entire history of mankind.”

Even Vyacheslav Nikonov, a renowned political scientist and Russian politician, the first deputy chairman of the Duma’s Foreign Affairs Committee on the United Russia list, fell for it. Nikonov, who is also the nephew of Vyacheslav Molotov, the longtime Soviet foreign minister under Stalin, picked up the news and reposted it on his social account. Except then, after the swindle was exposed, to call it off without explaining the reason to the journalists who asked him.
